Delete your account
Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, and no copy we can restore it from.
From the app (takes a moment)
- Open Noricho
- Settings → Account
- Tap Delete account and confirm
It happens immediately. No queue, no confirmation email, nobody trying to talk you out of it.
Without the app
If you have already uninstalled it, do not have the device, or cannot sign in, email privacy@noricho.com. "Account deletion request" is enough of a subject line.
Send it from the email address on the account. That is the whole verification. If you write from a different address we will not ask you for ID — we will send a confirmation to the address on the account instead, so that nobody can delete someone else's rides.
Requests are actioned within 30 days and usually within a few days. You get a reply when it is done.
What gets deleted
Everything attached to the account, at the same time:
- Your profile — handle, display name, language, public/private setting
- Every hunt you have recorded, and its legs and segments
- Every location fix recorded during those hunts
- Line progress, station stamps, rolling-stock collection
- XP, level, achievements, regular tiers
- Leaderboard and league history
- Any bug or data-correction reports you sent, and any report you filed about another rider
It is one statement, not a cleanup job: every table hangs off the account row and cascades with it, so there is nowhere for a leftover to hide.
What briefly survives, stated honestly
- Leaderboard tables: up to one hour. The boards are rebuilt hourly. Right after a deletion an old row may sit there, with no name on it, until the next rebuild removes it.
- Product analytics (PostHog). Anonymous usage events, kept to fix the app. They contain no location and no station — that is enforced in the code, not by policy. Deleting your account does not delete them. If you want those gone too, say so in the same email and they go with it.
- Data on your phone. Deleting from inside the app wipes the local copy as well. If you ask by email, the server side is deleted but anything still on a phone that has the app installed stays there until you uninstall it.
Leaving without deleting
Signing out is enough to keep playing as a guest: what you have collected stays on the phone and nothing goes to the server. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is sent and when.
